I really enjoyed this book. Although there were a few places where the author lost me in his description of one thing or another. But I just skimmed past that. I watched the movie last week. Knowing this was a movie while I was reading it (I had never seen the movie), I kept wondering how they made the movie, how did they tell this convoluted story. I thought they did a good job of taking the things that were important and bringing them out even if they weren’t always in the same context. For example how they used Caravaggio even though in the movie that had him unrelated to her. It would have made things more confusing if they had made their relationship the same as in the book. In some ways the movie felt choppy though to me and I wonder if I would have felt that way had I not read the book first. Movies are always being ruined for me by reading the books first. I’ve done pretty well I think with the Bourne movies even though I’ve been disappointed. It must have a lot to do with Matt Damon.
